Manchester Monthly at the Cloudwater Tap

Next tournament is on Sunday 30th March 2025.

Each monthly tournament will be a standalone event, there is no annual championship nor any added money events.

Format is Pure Double Elimination, starting with two rounds of 9pts and then reducing to 7pts and 5pts as time allows.

We play to Default options are legal moves and no dice on checkers. However, players may play responsible moves and/or dice on checkers by mutual consent. Clock settings are 2 minutes per point plus 12 seconds delay, or shorter by mutual consent. Each player is allowed one 5 minute break per match.

Entry fee is £20 (no registration fee). In addition, subject to demand, there will be one or more optional £10 pools. All to be split 70%/30% winner/runner-up.

The Tap opens at 12 noon, registration 12-12:15, tournament to start by 12:30. We aim to finish by 7pm.

Anyone arriving after 12:30 will not be eligible for any first round bye.
